As one of the largest initiatives of its kind globally, Bootstrap 4F was selected by the Invest in Women Taskforce to manage a landmark Fund of Funds designed to reshape the UK’s innovation landscape. Our mission is to shift capital into the hands of diverse investors and, ultimately, the founders they back. By investing in top-performing GPs, led or co-led by women and diverse teams, we are unlocking underrepresented talent and fuelling sustainable growth across the venture ecosystem.
A New Milestone: B4F Marks £130M First Close
This vision is already in motion: we are proud to announce the £130M first close of this vehicle, backed by institutional leaders including the M&G, British Business Bank, Barclays and Nationwide. With this mandate, Bootstrap 4F is actively engaging with GP partners to drive alpha through diversity of thoughts, ensuring that high potential venture investment teams have the capital they need to lead the next generation of UK innovation.

Where It All Started
The Invest in Women Taskforce is backed by the Department for Business & Trade and His Majesty’s Treasury. Chancellor Rachel Reeves officially endorsed the Taskforce, which demonstrates the UK government’s commitment to supporting female entrepreneurship as part of their drive for economic growth.
The Taskforce also benefits from high-level Government representation, with Minister for Investment Lord Stockwood and Minister for Small Business and Economic Transformation Blair McDougall, serving as members of the IWT board and Ecosystem Working group, respectively.
